In an online survey conducted earlier last month, the second most popular national park among visitors was the smallest national park in the country – Manuel Antonio Park and Beaches. It was mostly praised for its fantastic beaches, amazing trails, wide variety of wildlife and plants, and coral reefs. This place is also known to have more monkeys than people. The survey revealed that the majority of Costa Rica vacations include a trip to this national park.
Meanwhile, despite the fact that Costa Rica is well known for its magnificent zip lines, whitewater rafting is continuously becoming one of its main attractions. Costa Rica has more locations for whitewater rafting than any other country in Central America.
The Tourism Department also said that every year, they see more and more tourists searching for the countries whitewater rafting sites.
The government is working hand in hand with private groups and travel agencies to promote the preservation of the tourist spots and the promotion of Costa Rica vacations in the country, as tourism is considered one of the major contributors in Costa Rica’s revenue.
