Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight… but the red light witnessed by a Christchurch, New Zealand sky recently wasn’t a star, instead he says he was witness to a visit from a UFO.

A Christchurch, New Zealand man reported a sighting of a mysterious red light zigzagging around the sky early on the morning of Nov. 10 while he was glancing out a window around 1:30 a.m.

The man explained that the apparent UFO flew about 60 meters off the ground, and traveled at a very speedy pace as it flew in an odd shaky pattern up and down the skyline. He added that he just knew it couldn’t be an aircraft because they couldn’t move that way.

When the flying light got closer, he said he could make out the form of a saucer shaped craft and tried to take a picture of it, but it was flying too fast. He watched the phenomenon for about 20 minutes and was the only witness to the flight. He was unable to awaken his brother, who was asleep in the other room.

Shocked and amazed, he admitted that before seeing the UFO he hadn’t known for sure if there were aliens, but now that he has seen one, he believes. He insisted to disbelieving listeners that he hadn’t been drinking when he saw the red-lighted UFO.

The sighting isn’t the first time alien UFOs have been spotted in Christchurch. Over the past few years, several other mysterious visits have been recorded. Due in part to the increase in area sightings, the New Zealand “60 Minutes” show did a special on unidentified flying object encounters by everyday people, as well as defense and government officials in an episode entitled, “The Truth is Out There,” in June.
